What would happen in the event you were incapacitated? Is there someone who’d be able to make medical and financial decisions on your behalf? Preparing for grave situations and end-of-life care can feel overwhelming, and it’s an understandable tendency to put it off. But what if there were social spaces dedicated to demystifying the paperwork and easing us into this headspace? Read more in our February newsletter... https://lnkd.in/eA66kwSq

Happy 2025! What if we were to begin the new year with an outlook that skips to the end—as in the end of one’s life? Read more in our January newsletter... https://lnkd.in/gxBnrEen

"One irony about death, then, is that it remains most fearsome when most remote: When we are not forced to confront it in the immediate future, mortality is a menacing phantasm we try not to think about. But such avoidance brings no benefits, only costs. When the prospect of dying is concrete and imminent, most people are able to make the fact life-enhancing through acceptance. The real problem with death is that it messes up our being alive?until?it’s right in front of us." Great read by Arthur C. Brooks in The Atlantic, and it gets at the heart of why we value "Minding our mortality" at Here to Honor. By keeping our mortality at front of mind, we are encouraged and even motivated to live with more intention and presence. Join us at our upcoming events to learn more about how to mind your mortality. ?? https://lnkd.in/eEPnd-vV
