On August 15th, La Roche-Posay US kicked off the 5th annual #AcnePositivityDay with a powerful conversation about acne's impact on mental health.
La Roche-Posay USA partnered with Her Campus Media to bring 10 passionate college students to the L'Oréal Hudson Yards office in NYC for a raw and honest roundtable discussion alongside Dr. Evan Rieder, Ciara Miller, and Christie X. La Roche-Posay US General Manager, Rachelle Mladjenovic, opened the day by sharing her personal acne journey and how it sparked her passion for life-changing skincare.
"We labeled the roundtable discussion 'Behind the Breakouts' because there is so much more to someone’s acne journey than just the physical aspect," shared Eden Baker, Management Trainee on La Roche Posay. "We wanted to go beyond the surface to explore the deeper emotional and personal experiences connected to acne."
Austin Chen, Marketing Manager for La Roche Posay added, “We really wanted this to feel like a safe environment for people to share their stories and learn from each other. Acne Positivity Day is about spreading acceptance for all skin, encouraging others to embrace their unique journey, and fostering healthy relationships with their skin.”
In honor of Acne Positivity Day (September 1st), La Roche-Posay is proud to make a donation to Project Healthy Minds, a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling the mental health crisis. This donation will help expand access to mental health services, develop targeted solutions to improve public mental health on a large scale, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.
