Our passion is to empower both talent professionals and life science companies. Henslee Recruiting Services (HRS) began in December 2001. From conception, we’ve partnered with start-up companies (Symphonics/Advanced Bionics, Revivant, Visogen, Visijet, USGI Medical, Orthofix, Minimed, Alfred Mann Institute, Respironix, MicroTherapeutics to name a few) specializing in medical device technology development. Through the years, we continue contributing to our client’s success. Some have been acquired and/or grew into medium to large size companies like Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson. Several of our clients’ technologies expanded into drug/device combination products. This led HRS, to also expand into the biopharmaceutical world partnering with Novo Nordisk, Baxter BioScience, FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific and BioNTech. What makes HRS different is following two decades of experience in both agency search firms and in house corporate recruitment, we found the best results come from having intimate partnerships that align with our values and mission. One of our key values is time. Time is precious and too much of it is wasted. We’ve heard the agony, frustration and discouragement expressed by too many talented professionals as they consider or actively seek new employment. How does that increase compound with your bonus, 401k and/or stock options? You see, our clients on average have received a 16% increase. I’ll share a story. I was asked by a colleague if I’d sit down with her friend because she suspected that she wasn’t in the right role nor receiving the right compensation. During our conversation it became evident that her experience would be very attractive to two of my medical device clients that were struggling to find the right quality engineering professional that could assess a wide variety of suppliers – electromechanical components, fluidic systems along with consumables. Learning that she has this experience along with negotiating contracts, then onboarding them – ensuring they were following the right manufacturing procedures and processes while making sure they were FDA compliant, etc., So, she updated her resume, and I connected her with two hiring managers at two different medical device companies. Within three weeks, we were negotiating her offers. Because I have compensation analysis experience, I’m able to identify the best job code, pulling in 3-4 different factors. The offer she accepted increased her base by $30,000 and her yearly performance bonus went from 10% to 20%. So, I’ll ask you again, what would a 16% increase do for you and your family?
