We proudly participated in the CEO Rose Dedication Ceremony with OneLegacy. Kevin A. Klockenga, our President and CEO, joined our Executive Team to dedicate a rose honoring organ and tissue donors, the care teams who make donations possible, and the lives touched by these selfless gifts. Kevin added a heartfelt note to the rose, expressing gratitude to donors, their families, and our shared mission to save and heal lives. This special rose will join the OneLegacy Rose Parade Float at the 136th Rose Parade, a beautiful tribute to the power of donation and the lives it transforms. We’re honored to support OneLegacy in raising awareness about organ donation and fostering a culture of generosity in the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. Together, we’re creating a legacy of life.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community donors, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is now equipped with three Prismax machines. These advanced devices will allow us to offer Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) in our ICU, providing critical care for patients who are too unstable for traditional hemodialysis. CRRT essentially takes over the function of the kidneys by providing slow, continuous dialysis treatment that runs 24 hours a day. This life-saving therapy continues until a patient's condition improves enough for them to tolerate standard dialysis or until dialysis is no longer necessary. With this new capability, we can offer the highest level of care to those who need it most during their most vulnerable moments. Denise Redmond Shares Her Heartfelt Journey Through Cardiac Rehab: Strength, Support, and New Friendships From the beginning, I could tell it was a great program. The staff makes sure to personalize the program to each individual, meeting you where you are and then they slowly and carefully get you to a better place. I instantly felt safe and understood, as the team is meticulous about starting at the beginning, working your way up to doing more, always monitoring your heart rate and blood pressure – all of which ensures that we work within our limits and build tolerance over time. Of course, starting a Cardiac Rehab program is a little daunting, but it was comforting to see that there is no stereotypical “type” of people that have cardiac issues…it can be anyone of any age, all sharing in need for this type of program. Everyone is there for the same reason – working to be healthier and stronger. A side benefit that I was not expecting is the bond that we all made with classmates and the staff. Spending three months together in this unique setting created an unexpected sense of camaraderie and even created lasting friendships. It was a very good experience.

She was particularly conscientious about not letting me go home until they were sure I was ready (even though I was the last patient of the day) and ensuring I clearly understood my post-op instructions.

We’re excited to share that thanks to our generous community donors, we now have six new Belmont Rapid Infuser RI-2 units! These devices are essential in critical situations, as they quickly deliver fluids and blood to patients in need, helping to save lives in our Emergency, Trauma, and Surgery departments. The Belmont RI-2 is also user-friendly, allowing our staff to work efficiently under pressure and provide faster, more effective care when every second counts.
