The Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority is responsible for the county’s sports tourism program which brings in over $60M in economic impact annually as well as the management of Henrico’s public/private investments. This includes the current construction of the indoor athletic and events center at Virginia Center Commons and the future build of the 18,000-seat arena at the GreenCity site. Other public/private facilities that fall under the Authority are Belmont Golf Course and the Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center.

Please join us to celebrate at some point during our Cheer and Gear Weekend festivities! - Friday, December 6th ESPN Richmond will be broadcasting live from 1-2pm and we will be collecting sports equipment from 1-2pm and 3-6pm for our Holiday Cheer and Gear Drive to benefit The Salvation Army - Friday, December 6th at 7pm will be our Inaugural Battle of the Badges basketball game pitting Henrico County Division of Fire vs Henrico County Police Division! Thank you to Kings Dominion and Paul Davis Restoration for sponsoring this competition! - All weekend long, Friday through Sunday, you can check out some of the best amateur cornhole players in the Mid Atlantic for the American Cornhole League (ACL) ACL Open #5. This event is free to drop in and check out the action! - Sunday, December 8th we are welcoming back the reigning Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Champions, the University of Richmond Lady Spiders, to take on the Columbia University Lions in the Cheer and Gear Classic presented by DRIVE SMART Virginia What's Your Game Plan!
