Richmond is not just a sports community—it’s a collaborative community and that community truly shined last week. Reflecting on the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Championship held at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who came out to support us. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our local partners, community organizations, corporations, and vendors who volunteered, purchased tickets, or sponsored the event. A special shout-out to Richmond Raceway Trolley House Refreshments, Dominion Energy, Kings Dominion, Virginia Credit Union, Henrico Economic Development Authority, Paul Davis Restoration, Inc., Coca-Cola Consolidated, Richmond Region Tourism, Dominion Energy Charity Classic, Sportable - Adaptive Sports and Recreation, ChamberRVA, Hanover Chamber of Commerce VA, The 288 Group, YMCA of Greater Richmond and so many others who played a role in making this event a success. Your involvement by bringing out your staff to catch a game and volunteering showed off the amazing partners we have in this area.
