Yesterday, we at Hendricks Chapel hosted our annual Service of Commemoration, which seeks to honor Syracuse University and State University of New York (SUNY) College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) students, faculty, staff, retirees, trustees, honorary degree recipients, and friends who have recently passed away. This program provides an opportunity to pause, reflect, acknowledge all that has been lost, and be placed on a collective path for shared renewal. Thank you to all who attended this meaningful service.

?? ??? All are invited to attend Syracuse University's Community Iftar (dinner) hosted by the Muslim Student Association and Hendricks Chapel's Muslim Chaplaincy! The dinner will be held in the Schine Student Center. More info and registration: ?? https://bit.ly/4bcyd8R Muslims across the globe celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, fasting from dawn until sunset. The purpose of Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food. It is also about charity, empathy, and building character. Muslim members of the Syracuse University Community cordially invite you to a Ramadan Dinner (Iftar). Iftar, also known as futoor (the Arabic word for breakfast), is a meal held every day during Ramadan at sunset. Fasting is one of the main pillars of Ramadan, and those observing the holiday do not consume any food or drink between sunrise and sunset. After evening prayer and sunset, Muslims break their fast with Iftar.

?? ???? Last night's Hendricks Cup kickoff was outstanding! In partnership with Hendricks Chapel, The Hendricks Cup is an annual competition among fraternities and sororities of Syracuse University to contribute to the Coach Mac Food Pantry while supporting students experiencing food insecurity. Thanks to all the Greek chapters who came out to listen to the expectations and guidelines for the challenge! The sorority or fraternity that generates the most support will receive special recognition, all while contributing to a meaningful cause. Give on March 27 at givingday.syr.edu. #cusegivingday
