Fire-Max & Seek Thermal In this demonstration, we conducted our thermal rebound drill in which we show how if the stream isn’t flowed in sufficient duration and the proper location, the heat quickly rebounds.     The Blade Stream The blade stream is a linear stream. It is created by expanding a solid stream beyond the nozzle end. The blade stream is made from a band of large droplets that when projected form a line of water. To get the blade stream you simply turn the nozzle barrel to the left. In the fire stream development world that journey took decades. No one had ever combined the solid stream with a linear stream before. The blade stream creates a wide edge of water increasing your coverage dimension. The linear stream is a force multiplier when it comes to coverage, cooling and gas contraction. The blade streams effectiveness is via its application, cooling over a large area rapidly drops the temperatures converting the space for occupation. A linear stream is easier to apply, it requires less nozzle movement and is more efficient in covering an expanded area. The nozzle firefighter chooses how to apply the stream either horizontally or vertically, it’s very intuitive. Advancing using the wide blade has never been easier along with providing tremendous coverage. If you want your firefighters to be universally more effective give them the combination of the blade stream and a solid stream for their fires.? You’ll see it for yourself.

    In this demonstration, we use the blade pattern to cool the floor for 8 seconds of solid water application. The interesting effect of the blade pattern was that due to the larger pattern of solid water with more coverage equaled longer lasting cooling on the floor area thereby creating a cooler environment for the firefighter. Also notice the dramatic effect on air entrainment at the window after cooling. It is bringing cooler air into that area of lower pressure and lower temperatures which provides more chances for survivability.
