An analysis of industry payments to medical oncologists showed men received significantly higher speaker fees, consulting fees and other general payments than women between 2016 and 2020. Pickleball programs may encourage more cancer survivors to increase their physical activity, according to a pilot study. A feasibility investigation showed Project Rally — a pickleball program developed and delivered in a partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and YMCA of the Suncoast — had high interest, retention and adherence rates among survivors.
