Civic Park is complete, and it’s yours, San Antonio! ??? Phase 1 introduced a stunning green space and The Springs, a sustainable water feature that keeps visitors cool by reusing nuisance water. With Phase 2 officially complete, Civic Park seamlessly connects Downtown and Southtown with a beautiful, tree-lined Promenade, making it easier than ever to explore the city on foot. Oh, and those fences? Gone! You can now enter Hemisfair directly from Market Street! ?? Construction Update! ???? The Red McCombs Community Court is starting to take shape in Tower Park, bringing us one step closer to an incredible new space for play and connection. After 14 years of dedicated leadership, Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation CEO, Andres Andujar, will retire on April 1, 2025. Since 2011, Andres has been instrumental in transforming Hemisfair into a thriving urban district with multiple parks. His leadership seamlessly blended green spaces, locally-owned businesses, and community-driven events that reflect the heart of San Antonio. ???? His vision turned the 1968 World’s Fair site into a thriving destination, making Hemisfair the place Where San Antonio Meets. As we look to the future, the upcoming completion of Civic Park Phase 2 stands as a testament to Andres’ visionary leadership! Thank you for everything, Andres Andujar! ??
