关于我们
What makes our practice truly special is that everyone at HOA is “united in spirit” – a spirit that is utterly un-crushable and filled with possibilities and hope. At HOA, we believe that effective medical treatment is not only about healing our patients’ physical illnesses, but also about promoting their emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Our holistic approach ensures that our patients are treated like people, not medical cases. We get to know each patient and recommend treatments designed to heal the whole person.

While lung cancer causes more deaths than other cancers, it is highly curable when caught early! The way to diagnose lung cancer early in smokers is with a lung cancer screening - a low-dose CT scan that takes about a minute. To draw attention to this valuable test, we are again offering free lung cancer screenings for current and former heavy smokers between ages 50-80. Year after year people tell us that having the screening at no cost and on a Saturday, is what motivates them to finally get tested. So, we keep doing it. We appreciate if you could please help us to spread the word about this valuable community service offered in conjunction with CRA Imaging. Thank you!

Thank you to In Good Health CNY for this article about our new cancer center and the overall environment of HOA - a private practice serving the Central New York community since 1982! When you read the comments from our CEO Maryann Roefaro it's clear that our commitment to our patients and our employees is key to our success. “It takes a village, a lot of people and infrastructure to do a good job. It’s not just about physical — it’s physical emotional and spiritual. We want to do a good job and we want to do it for the person in their entirety. It’s not just about treating the cancer — it’s about treating the person,” Roefaro said. https://lnkd.in/em8yrWHb

It may be Fall (as evidenced by the pumpkin shirt), but that didn’t stop our Brittonfield employees from having some old-fashioned Summer ice cream fun today. Thank you to our friends from AmeriCU Credit Union for treating us! We really appreciate your support - in more ways than one. Special thanks to Charlie Noel.

As we quickly approach elections please consider how your representatives stand on #drugshortages. #ASCOadvocacy #CommunityOncology
Our members see first-hand how cancer #drugshortages harm patients when they must share difficult news about not having access to common, essential treatments that are in shortage. “It’s heartbreaking,” shares ASCO member Ashley Sumrall, MD. Time is running out for lawmakers to address this issue during the current session of Congress, and messages from constituents move lawmakers. Urge your Members of Congress to act now to end this crisis. #ASCOadvocacy
Oncologists shouldn’t have to triage care because of drug shortages
