We're filled with gratitude and thanks to all who have cared about and supported the single mom families we are privileged to assist, while the moms work hard to attain their college degree~ Happy Thanksgiving!

Sending a huge thank you to @The Care Organization in Phoenix, assisted by Eat Clean PHX LLC for delivering "made with love" holiday meals for the moms + kids to enjoy their own Thanksgiving meal dinner, together on turkey day! We love the care + collaboration of our community! ??????

For over 20 years Helping Hands for Single Moms has assisted low-income single mom families as the mother attains a post-secondary education & financial independence for her family. To date, more than 450 graduates now support their children (independent of government assistance) and give back to the community. Our Scholarship-Plus program is all-encompassing, helping our client families with finances, auto repairs & emergency roadside needs, laptops, dental /optical care for mom, holiday gifts for children and more - including a Rent Assistance opportunity added in 2022. Single moms in college, residing in Maricopa County, may view our criteria and apply on our website. Congratulations to Joy Johnson ! ?? This special lady, near & dear to our hearts, just received a (well-deserved) Trendsetter Award from Trends Charitable Funds, (TCF, the philanthropic arm of Trends Magazine). This dedicated group supports underserved women's and children's charitable organizations for the purpose of uplifting women, children, and their families through impactful programs. Joy and others were honored for their community leadership at "An Evening of Trends" Nov. 9, 2024. It came full circle for her, a former model in their fashion show for their awards event, almost 20 years ago! "This is quite an honor," she reflects. TCF is run by volunteers and a board of directors made of Trendsetters, women who have been recognized since 1985 for civic and charitable work in the Phoenix community. To date, TCF contributed over $20 million locally, in both operational & capital funds, guided by their slogan, "Commitment to Community." This annual fundraiser commits a portion of its proceeds to each of 4 different charitable organizations in the Valley. To all our supporters: A recent nursing school graduate sends her heartfelt thanks, as she begins her first day as an RN at a major hospital system. We are so proud of her...and hope you are too! "Your program is amazing and got me through SO much throughout my college years. I appreciate all of you so much and I cannot wait to contribute myself to Helping Hands for future moms in the program. Everything you offer is helpful and then some. The monthly meetings helped ground me whenever I was feeling stressed or overwhelmed. The help with car services quite literally saved me to be able to get to and from school/clinicals. Holiday Happiness was a Godsend when I was broke and unsure of how I would be able to give my son a decent Christmas. I could go on and on and on. You are all so amazing. Our single mom families are the beneficiaries of all the time, effort & celebration of this star-studded weekend. The financial support and services they receive while the moms work hard to attain post-secondary education, and secure a well-paying job to support her family, make the difference!
