Don’t put limitations on yourself!” So says Grouper member Mike Abron, 70, a lover of chess and the first African American to play a sanctioned US Chess tournament in all 50 states. A member of (at least) three local chess clubs, Mike is the subject of this month’s Member’s Corner episode. Swaim has dedicated the last 34 years of her life to making the bowling leagues of Huntsville, Alabama, into a large - and growing – extended family. (Put that in your pipe, Robert D. Putnam! ??)
