Chelsey has made it her life’s mission to change our culture’s perception of teenage girls and released her much-anticipated book “Underestimated: The Wisdom and Power of Teenage Girls” earlier this year. After working with hundreds of girls from diverse backgrounds for 16 years, she has become an expert at allowing teens to share their truths openly and without judgment, gaining girls' trust, listening to them as they open up and passing on to the rest of us all of the things they wish they could tell the adults in their lives. At our Hello Sunshine x #Invisalign Empowerment Day Chelsey led our attendees, ages 11 - 14, through a day of confidence building, powerful conversations, making new friends and lots of fun! It was truly magical watching her share her incredible wisdom and expertise on empowering the next generation. There were so many bright smiles as a result! Of the day, Chelsey says, “I can’t begin to tell you how special it was. Throughout the day we watched the attendees evolve and have their confidence grow, raising their hands to contribute personal stories and later dancing and smiling with new friends. The girls had the opportunity to learn that they’re not alone in their feelings or experiences when sharing anecdotes about themselves.
