At HELIX, we’re always seeking fresh insights into the evolution of #RWAs and how they're reshaping the DeFi landscape. That’s why one of our founding members, Caleb Lim, attended the RWA Summit NYC 2024 — a dynamic gathering of industry leaders and innovators. Here, we highlight the top insights and discussions driving RWAs forward! Day 1 at the RWA Summit featured dynamic panels with industry experts exploring emerging areas of growth. Notable highlights included Michael Bucella (Neoclassic Capital) discussing the potential of IP tokenization and Kevin Miao (BlockTower Capital) underscoring the significance of emotional security in the #Web3 space. A panel with Will Nuelle (Galaxy) and Christopher Perkins (CoinFund), moderated by Qin En Looi (Saison Capital), proposed an FX DEX focusing on G7 currencies to leverage high trading volumes. Additionally, John Patrick Mullin (MANTRA) and Joshua Lim (Arbelos Markets) presented a vision for RWAs with a seamless user experience, making interactions with Web3 technology practically invisible to end-users. Day 2 took a collaborative approach, with attendees joining working groups to address the vast potential and key challenges in #tokenized assets, a market expected to hit $19.5T by 2030. Despite the promise, scaling issues such as liquidity, high infrastructure costs, lack of standardisation, and evolving regulations persist. To tackle these, the summit introduced the Minimum Viable Ecosystem?framework, which integrates roles for security issuers, #custodians, #tokenization engines, distribution platforms, and data providers. Working groups explored essential themes: Tokenization Engines focused on standardising data, Transfer Agents reviewed blockchain’s impact on their roles, Distribution Platforms discussed expanding access to RWAs, Infrastructure Providers considered data privacy via oracles and zero-knowledge proofs, and Security Issuers strategised on improving liquidity and bridging crypto-native markets to RWAs. These insights pave the way for an RWA ecosystem centred on accessibility, liquidity, and regulatory compliance. Kudos to Lucas Vogelsang, Bhaji Illuminati, and Christie Chapman for pulling off a stellar global gathering in the RWA world - setting the bar high and keeping us all inspired! ?? #DigitalAssets #DeFi #Investments

Mid-week Market Roundup! Stripe acquires Stablecoin Platform Bridge for $1.1 Billion ?? Our thoughts? Stripe’s acquisition of Bridge marks a pivotal moment for crypto payments. Soon, a lot of internet transactions could seamlessly run on crypto rails. The move inches us closer to a future where on-chain assets become more mainstream. Japan’s JPYC Partners with South Korea’s ITCEN Group to Explore #Stablecoin & #RWA Integration ?? Our thoughts? The collaboration involves research to expand stablecoin's use—including launching stablecoins backed by other currencies like the Korean won—which could enhance real-world utility for users, linking digital currencies to local economies. We’re witnessing an exciting convergence of traditional finance with decentralised systems. Stripe’s acquisition of Bridge is a clear indication that crypto infrastructure is becoming integral to the future of online payments, moving us closer to on-chain financial systems. Similarly, JPYC and ITCEN’s partnership highlights growing international collaboration in stablecoin and RWA integration, paving the way for stablecoins to play a larger role in everyday financial activities across borders. The momentum is building, offering a glimpse into the future of seamless, on-chain finance. So, where do you think we will go from here?

Seeking stability and growth in a volatile market? Look to #privatecredit. In today's unpredictable financial landscape, finding reliable investments can be a challenge. But according to the IMF's April 2024 report, private credit emerges as a beacon of stability. Here's why private credit deserves your attention: 1. Lower Volatility: Compared to other asset classes, private credit exhibits lower volatility, meaning your investments experience less fluctuation in value. Since it is not traded on public markets and often involves long-term lending agreements with fixed interest rates, it avoids daily price swings tied to market sentiment, geopolitical events or macroeconomic news, ensuring more stability. 2. Strong Historical Performance: From 2000 to 2023, private credit delivered the second-highest compounded return, demonstrating its ability to generate consistent growth. For investors seeking a balance between stability and growth, private credit presents a compelling opportunity.

TVL in #DeFi hit $170B in 2021 but dropped to $96.5B by 2023. DeFi yields remain unstable too, with USD vaults peaking at 12.5% in April 2024 before falling to 4.3% by October. ETH vaults are hovering around 3.3%. Yield swings make long-term returns uncertain. Is it time to consider more stable alternatives? Enter #privatecredit, which refers to direct loans between private parties without involving traditional financial institutions like banks. It offers stability and consistent returns, making it a valuable diversification tool. The private credit market is projected to grow at an 11.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023 to 2028, with assets under management (AUM) potentially hitting $2.8 trillion by 2028.8 ?? It has also shown resilience even during rate hikes and market turbulence, making it a key diversification asset. Secure, predictable returns—what more could you ask for?
