Since 2019, the Green Seeds Programme has supported 156 small businesses from communities like Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Springs, and Soweto, driving sustainable economic growth and job creation. Today is International Men’s Day.?We are celebrating the men at HEINEKEN Beverages for their unwavering contributions and acknowledging the positive male role models and leaders in our communities. As part of our social responsibility focus, HEINEKEN Beverages supports a variety of community-based initiatives that raise awareness and offer support relating to numerous socioeconomic challenges. While these initiatives are not targeted at men exclusively, in all instances there is opportunity for male participants to benefit and play a critical role in promoting positive change in their personal lives and communities. We have partnered with relevant experts to help drive our social responsibility efforts in the following programmes: ·??????A binge drinking programme targeting students in tertiary institutions to make responsible choices. ·??????Providing psychosocial services, community interventions, change agent training and equipping participants with life skills on how to manage mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. ·???????A holistic resilience programme targeting young men and equipping them for future success. ·??????Tavern Dialogues and Men’s Lounges encouraging men to openly share their struggles, conquer their fears and being role models. “Wishing all our HEINEKEN Beverages men a day filled with appreciation and much happiness. It was truly uplifting to be back in South Africa, surrounded by the positive energy of the HEINEKEN Beverages team. ? During our visit to Tembisa, just outside Johannesburg, we connected with both on-trade and off-trade customers, including mom-and-pop stores, ultra-stores, and some very welcoming taverns. ? Being in the market, you can truly feel the strength of our multicategory portfolio which includes power brands like Savanna, Bernini, Heineken, Windhoek and Amstel alongside wines and spirits. ?
