We were busy this past week! Our CEO Marcus Lima went to Washington D.C. to speak with members of congress and the White House about Carbon Capture, DAC, and the value of robust federal support for the development of sustainable technologies. Ensuring carbon management has a durable pathway to scale, with policies, funding, and demand structures, will be crucial in catalyzing our growth to megaton scale CO2 capture and beyond! The broad enthusiasm we saw was encouraging, and we look forward to seeing it manifest in tangible outcomes that help these technologies mature.

I was pleased to meet Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond from the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General recently. We discussed CLass VI well permitting and primacy for the State of Oklahoma, as well as Heimdal plans for DAC facilities in the State, with the launch of Bantam, as well as our expansion plans. It's clear direct air capture (DAC) and carbon management broadly has an ambitious future and home in Oklahoma.

Heimdal Inc., in collaboration with CapturePoint LLC, unveiled its inaugural direct air capture (DAC) facility in northern Oklahoma, close to the town of Shidler in Osage County. “The CapturePoint team is excited about this alliance with Heimdal and the significance for our Oklahoma Carbon Hub. We are proud to unveil, BANTAM, our first DAC facility! After ~13 months of development and thousands of hours of onsite construction and preparation in Oklahoma, we are proud to announce the completed construction and launch of Bantam. Bantam has the capacity to remove more than 5000 tons of CO2 per year from the air, making it the current largest DAC facility in America and second largest facility in the world. All-in ?? cost is lower, ?? construction was faster, and scale is larger than anyone thought possible. Heimdal has officially stepped into the ring ??. On Tuesday we celebrated our “ribbon cutting” by pouring our first batch of sorbent granules onto our prepared fields with a quorum of partners, industry experts, local and state leaders and elected officials, Osage and Kaw Nation attendees, and more. Bantam is launching next week August 13th! Major progress has been made on site in Oklahoma as the whole Heimdal engineering team has relocated to Oklahoma for commissioning.
