To close out the Fall 2024 semester, Kennesaw State University School of Art & Design's Publication Design students stopped by to pick up their 12-page booklets printed on the 5-color Versafire LV. All of the students were required to create a captivating cover with the 5th color silver toner — allowing them to learn how to properly set up spot colors for print production and understand the growing capabilities of digital printing. "I am now a level 2 Electrical Apprentice. A day for me looks like: traveling out to a print shop to fix any electrical problems they have. I really enjoy troubleshooting as that is something I do the most. I really enjoy the guys in the field and especially my mentor, they help me in so many ways such as learning, traveling advice, and even life advice." Great job David, keep pressing on! ?? ? Last week, HEIDELBERG USA had two "students" graduate from Paperboard Packaging Council’s Folding Carton Bootcamp! This great event provided attendees hands-on experience and knowledge about topics such as how paper is turned into paperboard, windowing, rigid boxes, automatic packaging, cold and hot foil, tooling, die-cutting, adhesives, laminating, and more. Plus, our very own Bill Rice, Postpress Product Manager, presented on how folder-gluer machines work and the different types of folding cartons. Thank you for having us PPC! ?? ?
