As Earth Day approaches on April 22, 2024, let's take a moment to celebrate and reflect on our commitment to environmental stewardship. At HEED, we recognize the vital link between a healthy environment and community well-being. Let's renew our dedication to sustainability and advocate for a greener, more equitable future. Also, thank you for your dedication to our shared mission and for your ongoing support of The Basics Southcoast and HEED Coalition. Together, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come. Looking forward to seeing you next week at the pilot demonstration site working group meetings!

Today I was featured by NPR in an important story about the importance of insurer coverage policies (which should be produced before a new treatment hits the market). This story is about the new #postpartumdepression drug treatment, but this concept applies to any FDA-approved treatments. "If you don't have a published policy, there is going to be more variation in decision-making that isn't fair and is less efficient. Transparency is really important," says Joy Burkhard, executive director of the nonprofit?Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health, which commissioned the study. #maternalmentalhealth #maternalhealth #maternalmortality Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health
