On Wednesday, Hedgerow hosted September's Delaware County Arts Consortium meeting in preparation for this year's event, which works to uplift and promote the local arts and culture community. Hedgerow Board Member Spotlight on: Syon Bhanot! Syon is an Associate Professor of Economics at Swarthmore College, where he studies and teaches behavioral economics. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His research uses experiments to study real-world policy problems, ranging from environmental conservation to health behavior to personal finance. He is a frequent commentator on behavioral economics topics in the media, with regular appearances in the New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and NPR. In his own words: "As the world changes, true 'community' is harder and harder to find — but we have it at Hedgerow. Hedgerow is more than a beautiful theatre with a talented artistic team at the helm — it is a one-of-a-kind institution with a storied history, and I'm honored to play a role in shaping its path forward as a board member."
