2025 has already been a year full of growth for HeartSupport, and we want to highlight our Program Department making incredible strides to start the year! ?? - For the first time, our volunteer program has?80 active volunteers?who heal the scene and support struggling fans every week. ?? - Our first HeartSupport-based match for our Support Calls program has graduated! This team has gone through 1 year of weekly support calls, and the program was so impactful that our peer is renewing for another full year of support, as they’ve felt meaningfully supported through our program. ”I didn’t feel like I had a support system, and I found it through this program” - Juanita ?? - We’ve hired our first program-based consultant to help continually improve and refine our volunteer and support experience! We are so excited to be continually growing and expanding our support, and our Program Department is just one example of the incredible growth we’ve been experiencing! Meet HeartSupport's newest board member - Bryan Fevold! We’ve introduced you to Bryan Fevold before, sharing how?he is fighting for mental health while also fighting stage 4 brain cancer. Even while facing his own struggles, Bryan has made it a point to advocate for mental health support through music.?He has been a powerful voice advocating for HeartSupport for years now, and we are so happy to announce that?he is stepping into a position on our board as our External Affairs Committee Chair,?where he will help spearhead and oversee projects focused on expanding our efforts to heal the scene beyond our current reach. HeartSupport is expanding our Board of Directors, and we are recruiting a Treasurer! This last year has been a beautiful transformation of the organization, guided by some intentional criticism. From one man's boldness to say hard truths about the org (thankful for you Chris Von Dohlen), we've had an overhaul from the inside out of the org. Some highlights: * Organization is focused on the metal music scene * Cut half of our programs to commit to excellence * All programs backed by research * All volunteer positions have evidence-based training * Digital outreach experienced 20X reach * From 30k to 120k subscribers on YouTube * 2X as many people are asking us for mental health support * Machine learning that detects if a comment is asking for mental health support * New quality assurance technology ensures more people receive the help they need (average 92% resolution rate) * 6X our volunteer application rate * We acquired another non-profit and now offer their yearlong peer-mentorship program * We overhauled our board of directors and initiated an advisory board * Our founder is active, engaged, giving, and leading the charge To continue our commitment to excellence, we need a financial expert who can elevate our organization.
