Today I celebrate another year of life. You won’t hear (much) complaining from me about getting older—because aging is a gift and a privilege. When I reflect on what I’ve learned, one truth stands out: Your voice gets stronger the more you use it. There was a time I held back—worried about how I sounded, what people thought, or whether my words truly mattered. But over the years, I’ve realized: ? My voice isn’t something to perfect—it’s something to share. ? Confidence doesn’t come from experience alone—it comes from believing in what I have to say and trusting myself. ? Every time I speak up, I claim more of my space in the world. And here’s what I love most about being a coach: I get to help others take up space too—and that helps us all. When you speak up, you inspire someone else to do the same. When you own your voice, you make room for others to own theirs. Our stories, ideas, and perspectives don’t just belong to us—they shape the world we live in. I’m in a new phase of my career—one where showing up as I am means embracing vulnerability daily. Opening my heart and sharing my experiences has strengthened who I am as a person. Whether it’s through 1:1 coaching or a workshop, you get all of that. So as I celebrate another year, my wish isn’t just for myself—it’s for you. May this be the year you stop holding back and start speaking up. ?? If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. And if you think I could help, why not set up a time to talk? It would be great to meet you! #CoachPayal #SpeakingTruths #AuthenticSpeaking #PublicSpeaking #Confidence #Leadership #FindYourVoice #MindsetShifts

Alexis Mobley, I, Matter! Coaching & Consulting CEO, Founder, Executive Coach. Dazzling. Before I knew any of that about her, here’s how I became her follower (as in, I keep an eye on what she puts out there because I know I have A LOT to learn from her). She was generous with her time and knowledge in a way that made me feel supported and valuable. She shared her personal experience so openly that I felt respected, cared for, and empowered. To me, this is the kind of leadership I crave and aspire to. The more I learn about Alexis and her work, the more I’m beyond impressed—her excellence and values are fully aligned with her business. As a coach myself, I know that being seen, heard, and uplifted can change everything. This Black History Month, I’m reflecting on the impact of Black leaders like Alexis—people who don’t just achieve success, but who use their voices to elevate others. Who in your life has lifted you up with their generosity, wisdom, or leadership? Let’s celebrate them—drop a name in the comments!

If you keep avoiding opportunities to speak up, present, or share your ideas—where will you be a year from now? Five years from now? Now imagine the opposite. What if you started strengthening your resolve today? What if you took small, steady steps to overcome the resistance to using your voice? How could that change your life? You don’t need to be a “high achiever” or even feel especially motivated to take that first step. You don’t even need to have it all figured out. But if something inside you knows that staying where you are isn’t what you want for your future—it’s time to make a change. If this resonates, be brave and reach out. Let’s have a conversation about what you want. Even if we don’t work together, my goal is for you to leave feeling clear, empowered, and ready to take action. #publicspeaking #confidence #leadership #communication

Small Business, Acting, and Corporate Training Shaped Me as a Coach I learned the power of communication early—not in a classroom, but behind the counter of my family’s small business. As a kid, I was interacting with adults, solving problems, and learning how to provide great customer service. That experience shaped me, teaching me that confidence isn’t about being the loudest in the room, it’s about knowing how to connect with people. That lesson followed me throughout my career. ??As a Learning & Development professional at American Express, I trained and coached professionals in a Fortune 100 environment, helping them sharpen their skills and step into leadership. ??As a leader in Toastmasters, I didn’t just practice public speaking—I led multiple clubs, mentored speakers, won contests, and became the go-to person for actionable, relevant feedback that actually helped people improve. ??As an actor, I learned how to get relaxed on a stage, express myself authentically, and the value of deep preparation. ????Now, as a public speaking coach, I help professionals find that same ease and confidence when they speak—whether they’re leading a meeting, pitching an idea, or standing in front of a crowd. When you work with me, I want you to feel capable, prepared, and in control. I want you to stop overthinking and start trusting yourself. And most importantly, I want you to realize that you don’t have to be someone else to be a great speaker, you must be yourself, fully and unapologetically. If you believe your voice matters, and want to to use it with confidence, join my mailing list, schedule time to talk to me, or grab my Presentation Quick Prep Guide. #PublicSpeaking #CommunicationSkills #LeadershipDevelopment #Coaching #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerDevelopment #LearningAndDevelopment #Toastmasters #AuthenticCommunication
