?? This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that sometimes it’s more than furniture that’s needed. With the holiday fast approaching, several of the young adults we serve reached out for a helping hand with Thanksgiving meals. Thanks to our generous funders, hardworking students, and intrepid volunteers, we delivered totes packed with: ? Thanksgiving staples: stuffing, gravy, veggies, and spices ? Funds for turkeys ? Kid-friendly snack packs for families A big thank-you to the students of Iona Preparatory School, Fordham Preparatory School, and Annunciation School Crestwood for packing the totes, and our incredible board members and volunteers who delivered them. On this day in 2017, Hearts to Homes was launched as an independent 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to help increase stability for former foster youth by furnishing their first independent apartments. ??? Since then, we’ve been privileged to assist over 750 young adults on their journey to independence, providing them with the comfort and security of a fully furnished home. ??
