Patient safety depends on care team safety. This concept is at the heart of the Coalition’s Declaration of Principles. Although patient safety and care team safety are rarely talked about as being one in the same, the Heart of Safety Coalition believes they are strongly connected. This idea was echoed in the 2024 safety in healthcare report by Press Ganey.
