The words we choose matter. This Halloween, our COO, Bill D., was reminded of the power of two simple words: “Thank You.” In a world often marked by division, these moments of civility and connection show us what’s possible when we come together. As you enter into the weekend, take some time to read his reflections on community, connection and the next generation’s vision for a brighter future. We're still reflecting on the experience our team had this week in Charlotte at the NALP ELEVATE conference, where industry leaders, innovators and passionate professionals gathered to shape the future of landscaping. Our team, including leaders from HeartLand and some of our operating companies, was grateful to spend valuable time together discussing innovative strategies to advance our companies and drive growth. One of the highlights of the event was the Women’s Forum, where we were honored to have four of our distinguished women leaders representing our organization. HeartLand was represented by Ashley Hamilton from Roark Landscaping Corporation, Kathi Roche from Santa Rita Landscaping, our very own Fairy Job Mother, Meggie Snipes, SHRM-CP, and Marketing Director, Jessie Mallicoat. Their participation underscored our dedication to fostering diversity, empowering leadership and championing the voices that drive progress within our industry. ELEVATE provided a platform for meaningful discussions, networking and exploring the latest trends and solutions in the landscaping industry. From engaging keynote sessions to insightful workshops, our participation reinforced our commitment to excellence and staying at the forefront of industry advancements. A special thank you to the National Association of Landscape Professionals for hosting such a dynamic and inspiring event! #NALPElevate #LandscapingLeadership #IndustryInnovation #Teamwork #ProfessionalGrowth #WomenInLeadership #WomenInLandscape #RootedInRelationships #InnovatetoElevate

We're proud to highlight our very own Traci Wright, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, for speaking on the Empowering Excellence panel at SiteOne Landscape Supply's Women in the Green Industry conference last month in Chicago. With over 20 years of experience across multiple industries, Traci is a recognized leader at HeartLand. She has been instrumental in building our fleet operations and procurement processes, among many other key initiatives. Her expertise in creating resilient teams and driving innovation—such as electrification and autonomous technology—continues to propel our success. Thank you, Traci, for representing HeartLand and sharing your valuable insights with the industry!" #HeartLandLeaders #WomenintheGreenIndustry #WIGI #WomeninHorticulture #StrategicLeadership
A week ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend SiteOne Landscape Supply’s annual Women in the Green Industry Conference in Chicago. Not only did I have the chance to learn and network with some amazing women in the field, but I was also honored to serve as a panelist, sharing my experiences working in this industry. This event was truly eye-opening. It highlighted areas where I want to grow both personally and professionally, while also revealing that many other women in the industry are on similar paths, striving for the same growth and opportunities. The chance to engage with so many women from various sectors was inspiring, and I left with a renewed passion to move forward and continue learning from others. I’m deeply humbled by the connections I made during the conference and feel incredibly grateful for the shared experiences. I can’t wait to attend again next year! A special thanks to the ladies who were on the panel with me - Jennifer King, Stephanie Hertzog and Laura Shartle for keeping us all in line!
