Failure is scary. Learning moments? Those are gold. Did you know WD-40 Company got its name because the first 39 attempts didn’t work? Instead of giving up, the team saw 39 learning moments — and on attempt 40, they nailed it. Great cultures embrace mistakes as opportunities to learn, not reasons to punish. If you want innovation, ditch the blame game and start celebrating those “learning moments.” Trust me, they’ll take you further than fear ever will. #LearningMoments #CultureOfLearning #Innovation

What if I told you that leaving your heart at home could be the biggest mistake you make at work? In my younger years, I thought emotions had no place in the office. I was so wrong. Our brains have two systems: emotional and rational. Great people know how to use both. They understand their own feelings and those of others. Research by Goleman found that emotional intelligence accounts for up to 90% of what sets high performers apart. It's not just about IQ anymore. Emotionally intelligent (EQ) people: ?They show empathy ?They're more self-aware ?They have strong social skills ?They manage their emotions better ?They motivate themselves and others And - good news - these skills can be developed. A few simple ways to boost your emotional intelligence: → Keep a mood journal to track emotional patterns → Practice mindfulness to increase self-awareness → Put yourself in others' shoes before reacting → Ask for feedback from your surroundings → Listen actively without interrupting When we lead with both heart and head, amazing things happen. Creativity flourishes. Teams become more cohesive. People feel valued and engaged. You don't need a fancy title to use emotional intelligence. Anyone can start today right into 2025.?? ------------------- ?? Repost to bring your heart to work ?? Follow Steven Claes for more cool tips on Leadership - HR and Culture Post ranking: #5 of 2024
