Father’s Day doesn’t really register in my universe. Here’s why:???? Here’s a fun fact not a lot of people know about me:I am a surprise baby. My mom was a young 20-year-old woman who started dating my dad, who was a bit older than her. And then… I was born. I do remember my dad. I was about 4 or 5 years old. We played a “musical boy.” My dad knew music very well and he would tickle me and teach me about different notes ??. I still tear up slightly when I remember how we played together. One day my father told me the biggest and most cruel lie I have ever heard in my entire life (I am almost 40 now). He said, “Hey, I have a work trip. I need to leave now. I will be back in 5 days, maybe more. I’ll be back.” Little did I know that he would never come back. My mom and dad decided to end their relationship, and nobody cared to explain to me that dad was not coming back. For years, I lived with resentment and hate towards my father because of it. However, I am learning how to forgive. This experience also taught me how to be strong. I am that strong family member. I am that entrepreneur, that coach, who goes with the flow and does not see obstacles.
