Holiday lights and décor will accentuate a lovely half-mile Heard nature trail. Your family will be enchanted by this nighttime hike through the woods. Also, you’ll get a glimpse of the Dinosaurs Live! exhibit along the trail. Please note that the dinosaurs will not be animated during the event. In keeping with the Heard’s role as a nature preserve, this light display is designed to enhance, rather than overpower, the sanctuary’s natural beauty. Additional Activities Children and the young at heart will enjoy the opportunity to take a photo in our festive settings. Warm up with a hot cocoa or enjoy a snack, available for purchase from?Honeylu’s Coffee. Enjoy festive, live music under the stars in our outdoor amphitheater. Say cheese! Holidays at the Heard will come with a Giant Snow Globe photo op.

August 31 ?? Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary === Audio: Here we observe a solitary Heard dinosaur in search of his companions. It has been several months since he last encountered them. He is beginning to suspect they are lost. However, he is unaware that not all who wander are lost. They shall once again return to his domain quite soon. Despite his tiny arms being ill-suited for aquatic activities, he has ventured into the Heard wetlands to search for his friends, knowing that water is a vital resource for all wildlife and assuming it might be a likely place to find them. Unfortunately, he has yet to realise that these particular dinosaurs do not rely on water. They require electricity. And as we all know, water and electricity can be a hazardous combination. Join us each week as we observe the Heard dinosaur’s ongoing journey to find his friends until they finally return.
