HealthX's own Laura Hilty has been on the road sharing key insights, at both Innovation Network Gathering and Digital Health & AI Innovation Summit (DHAI) with two talks and a panel discussion. She shared insights with 600+ attendees on Why Great Ideas Fail and how to de-risk new ideas (or companies) while innovating with the highest impact. She also joined esteemed VC panelists to share the current trends and state of investing in digital health, with Ritesh Patel from FINN Partners moderating with Dana Sun from Laerdal Million Lives Fund, Michael A. Greeley from Flare Capital Partners, and Karl Hess from Outcome Capital, and Julia A. Croxen from Rock Health who shared insights from their latest report: https://lnkd.in/gMt3JuQC Key takeaways from these 3 sessions: 1. To avoid failure, fully understand the problem you solve. Collaborate with players from all key stakeholders in the buying process and importantly the adoption process so you can effectively solve for it (e.g. in clinical research, sites are critical to pharma's success and should be critical input early) 2. There is risk in taking no risk. Especially for pharma and health systems with long procurement cycles, think critically about the process so we can innovate for our patients! 3. The investment landscape is in the 7th inning of a tough game. While VCs are still overall a bit more risk averse, now is a great time to invest and the panel was bullish on the next couple of years.
