???? #Singapore is like a second home to me, having spent four enriching years in this wonderful country and made many local friends. I am so excited to be back in Singapore after many years. ?? I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Sebastian Maurer-Stroh for giving Venkataraman Balasubramanian and me the opportunity to visit the?Singapore Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR Institute?and the Singapore Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC). ?? We had the pleasure of discussing DataHub with Dr. Xing Yi Woo and Maple Hongye Ye, Ph.D, discussing the complexities of data harmonization, de-identification, and implementation of the right data access governance. Dr Lau Mai Chan shared also her fascinating data science work on single-cell proteomics and transcriptomics. ?? We were also fortunate to engage in insightful conversations with Professor Damian O'Connell and Dr Hwee Ching Ang about bioinformatics, AI in drug discovery, oncology research, the specificities of Asian and the uniqueness of the Singapore hub, and the strategic initiatives that #EDCC is undertaking. ?? Additionally, we had the privilege of discussing cloud data platforms and the innovations driven by hyperscalers with Dr. Benjamin Toh, Executive Director at A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in charge of building a vibrant innovative ecosystem. ? Lastly, we had the pleasure of meeting Yaron Turpaz with whom we talked about his inspiring career across the globe in application of ML/AI in drug discovery. ?? Thank you all for these enriching discussions! These interactions have been incredibly enriching. Thank you, Chew Peng Fong, for all the coordination Zainudin Nordin Peter Speyer David Chew Poh San Shanti Prakash Upadhayay Thomas Bouquet Adama Ibrahim, EMBA Philippe GERWILL Delphine Constantin Charlotte Lim
