Two of our ministry's Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) created $99.3 million in Medicare savings in 2023! Mercy Health Select (MHS) ACO delivers high-quality, cost-efficient care to nearly 87,000 beneficiaries across Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia. Since joining the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) in 2011, MHS has continuously demonstrated excellence in accountable care. In 2023, MHS participated in the Enhanced Track of the MSSP—its highest risk tier—and achieved extraordinary results: ? A 7.5% savings rate, exceeding the 0.5% minimum threshold. ? $81.2 million in total savings for CMS. ? $59.7 million in earned shared savings—the highest in MHS history. ? Recognized as one of Becker's Healthcare Hospital Review's?Top ACOs to Know 2024. Meanwhile, the?Hampton Roads Good Help ACO, serving 41,559 beneficiaries, delivered similarly impressive outcomes: ? A 3.8% savings rate. ? $18.1 million in total CMS savings. ? $8.8 million in earned shared savings. These successes reflect the power of collaboration among hospitals, physicians, and care teams, emphasizing preventive care, medication adherence, and proactive health management to reduce unnecessary hospital visits. Our ACOs are designed to elevate the patient experience, improve community health, and lower healthcare costs—ensuring a sustainable future for Medicare beneficiaries.
