关于我们
Health in Tandem is an integrative private practice with a team of compassionate, innovative therapists who aim to help clients find awareness and balance in all aspects of their health and wellness. We believe that change and growth happen when we focus on addressing four pillars of wellness: mental wellness, emotional wellness, physical wellness, and social wellness. Our therapists each have their own diverse experiences within the health and wellness field and specialize in a variety of mind-body modalities. While every one of our therapists has their own unique style and outlook on treatment, our therapists focus on using evidence-based practices (mainly acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and EMDR).

Anxiety can feel like an endless loop, but small actions make a difference. Here are some examples of what breaking the anxiety cycle can look like! Remember, progress isn’t about perfection but showing up for yourself in the way that you can each day. -Gia #breakingthecycle #anxietymanagement #mentalhealth #copingskills #healthintandem

With Thanksgiving coming up we're all hearing talk of gratitude and thankfulness. Often, We'll forget that gratitude is a practice, something we have to be intentional about doing. As we continue practicing gratitude, we find that it's easier, comes more naturally, and there are endless reasons to feel thankful. This is a great time of the year to consider what we are grateful for. Take some time to think of the people, places, and things that bring joy to your life. And don't forget to express gratitude towards yourself! -Ally #gratitude #thanksgiving #mentalhealth #positivepsychology #holistichealth #quote

You may have heard this 100 times already, but I want to revisit the power of journaling. I’ve heard clients say before that oftentimes it feels like journaling has become a chore, or that they don’t find any release from journaling, which is OK because it might not be what works for you in terms of externalizing thoughts and emotions! But if you are someone who wants to attempt journaling again, here are some tips that may help it be more of a therapeutic practice than a chore or something to cross off your to-do list: ??? You don’t need to write in complete sentences. Try bullet points, stream of consciousness, or even doodling if that resonates more! ??? Notice if you are writing down thoughts or emotions. Sometimes it is automatic writing out thoughts that pop into our head, but we struggle to tap into the feelings that go along with them. Try writing out those emotions whether its a specific word, color, temperature, or even an image that comes to mind! ??? Experiment with different writing styles. Do you normally use “I” statements? Is the writing voice speaking to you directly? You could even try 3rd person story-like writing! ??? If physically writing is what creates the resistance to journaling, you can try dictating to a document or voice journaling to create a more authentic flow -Gia #journaling #selfexpression #copingskills #healthintandem

It’s the time of year where we are constantly hearing the word “gratitude” but what often is left out is “self-compassion.” Gratitude and self-compassion are a powerful duo when it comes to personal growth and mental well-being. Gratitude helps us appreciate the good things in life—big or small—and shift our focus toward the positive. It allows us to see the beauty around us, even in challenging times. Self-compassion is about being gentle with ourselves, especially when things don’t go as planned. It reminds us that we don’t have to be perfect, and it’s okay to make mistakes or feel low sometimes. When we combine these two practices: - We can be grateful for life’s gifts, while also being kind to ourselves when we struggle. ?? - We learn to balance the joy of what’s good with the understanding that we’re human and worthy of care, even on hard days. ?? So this holiday season, let’s practice gratitude for what we have, and show self-compassion for where we are. The journey is all about balance. - Amanda #Gratitude #SelfCompassion #MentalHealthMatters #BeKindToYourself #FindBalance #WellBeingJourney #GratefulHeart #healthintandem

As the holiday season approaches, it can be easy to tune into the hustle and bustle of this time of year. While the season can bring joy, connection, and gratitude, it can also bring stress, pressure, and an ever-growing to-do list. For people with OCD or OCD tendencies, this increased stress and anxiety can exacerbate obsessive thoughts and compulsions. With new triggers, busy schedules, and pressure to feel positive, how do we tune stay present and embrace uncertainty? Check out Morgan's new blog to see how you can find more joy and balance this holiday season! #mentalhealth #holidayprep #OCD #therapy #boundaries #healthintandem #blogpost

Have you ever heard the phrase “1% better every day?” While that can be a useful motivator, it’s important to understand that given various circumstances, internal or external barriers, and just simply how we feel when we wake up in the morning, our “best” can look different each day. Remember to find that balance of what your best might look like, and that you are NOT a machine that is built to just GO GO GO every single day! -Gia #selfcare #energy #allornothing #perfectionism #bestself #mentalhealth #healthintandem

Since her incredible performance at Lollapalooza, Chappell Roan has been blowing up! I have to admit, **Pink Pony Club** is my new hype jam. But beyond the music, what makes Chappell truly stand out is her openness about mental health—even to the point of canceling shows when she needed to. Mental health struggles are real, and artists like Chappell remind us that it’s okay to talk about them. Through her vulnerable lyrics and her candid voice on social media, she’s showing us that we don’t have to fight our battles alone. ?? Remember: - It’s okay to not be okay. - Reaching out for help is a sign of strength. - Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Take a page from Chappell’s book—be kind to yourself, find your outlet, and never hesitate to speak up. Whether it's through music, art, or conversation, expressing what’s inside can be a powerful form of healing. Let’s support each other and normalize taking breaks when we need them. Even celebrities, who seem like superhumans, remind us that we’re all just human at the end of the day. ?? -Amanda #ChappellRoan #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreNotAlone #ItsOkayToTalk #BreakTheStigma #PinkPonyClub
