It is with great appreciation and excitement that we share the news that HealtheMed’s policy initiative for 2024 has been approved by the Minnesota House of Representatives and Minnesota Senate and signed into law by Governor Walz (MN Laws, ch. 125, section 33)! Click the link below and scroll to page 26, section 25. https://lnkd.in/gu-dAq_J Under the new law, lead agencies are allowed to partner with enrolled medical assistance HCBS providers to identify individuals who can benefit from assistive technology to enhance or extend an individual’s independence. HealtheMed is on a mission to improve human health at home through meaningful relationships and our Clinic@Home assistive technology platform, and we are delivering on this mission. Through this new state law, we aim to create partnerships with lead agencies to demonstrate both value to individuals receiving Medicaid waiver services and taxpayer cost savings. Clinc@Home has demonstrated results among vulnerable populations, including a 61% increase in medication adherence, a 20% reduction in missed appointments, and a 96% client renewal (approval) rate.
