As wildfires continue to impact our region, Center for Health Care Rights would like to share resources for older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities to stay safe and get the care they need during a disaster or emergency. The California Department of Aging (CDA) has a comprehensive guide in multiple languages on emergency preparedness, offering valuable tips and resources to help you stay safe during emergency events. Access the CDA’s Emergency Preparedness Guide here: https://lnkd.in/gbG2eaJ2 Rules for getting health care may change for a short time if a governor declares an emergency or disaster. If you need help accessing (or have questions about) your Medicare benefits during this time, you can: visit the Medicare website at https://lnkd.in/grpwd5qZ or call your local HICAP office at 800-434-0222. To those affected, we're with you during this challenging time. Please stay safe, be vigilant, and check on neighbors and loved ones.
