The second annual Texas BioLife Summits was a success! ?? As proud partners of the conference, we were thrilled to make new connections, see our alumni companies in action, and engage with the incredible innovation ecosystem! Our alumni and HW supporters participated in: ?? Devices and Diagnostics Panel – Moderated by Yana V. (ADVI Health), this panel featured our alumni founder Josh Rabinowitz (Articulate Labs) alongside Brandi Cantarel (Form Bio), Daniel Andrews (Reapplix), and Melissa Bourestom (Dignitana). They shared invaluable insights on the challenges and breakthroughs of bringing innovative medical technology to market, from integrating new advancements to ensuring safety and effectiveness in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. ?? Navigating the Life Science Investment Landscape – Led by Robert Suffoletta (Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati), this discussion included our alumni founder Patrick Smale (ClearSight Therapeutics), along with Aaron Schuchart (?ther THERAPEUTICS), Russell Hayward (etiraRx), and Kevin Oliver (Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc.). They shared strategies for fundraising on a timeline, explored alternative financing options such as partnerships, collaborations, and licensing, and discussed key investor pitching tactics—especially when engaging with big pharma. ?? Leading Women in Biotech – The summit closed with a powerful session uniting trailblazing women in the field, including past WISH Network speakers Kaitlin Roberson (Cacti) and Elina Lavit (@Veltera). It was inspiring to see Dallas’ life sciences community and ecosystem partners come together to share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen both new and long-standing connections.
