Addressing the social determinants of health, reducing health disparities and achieving health equity in South Florida.
关于我们
We are South Florida's largest philanthropic organization focused on addressing the social determinants of health, reducing health disparities and achieving health equity in the region's underserved, vulnerable communities. Through funding, expertise and advocacy, we focus on three key areas: -Increasing access to health insurance and healthcare; -Integrating the social needs people have—like access to a safe and stable home, or healthy food—into clinical settings; and -Improving community level social and economic conditions that promote overall physical, mental and emotional well-being, with a special focus on economic prosperity and affordable housing issues.

Health Foundation of South Florida partnered with Network for Good Donor Advised Fund to launch a 12-month sustainable fundraising initiative through the Jumpstart Program. This grant-supported program provided a cohort of five nonprofits with personalized fundraising plans, 1:1 coaching, and access to the Jumpstart fundraising platform—designed to enhance long-term sustainability and growth. We’re thrilled to share the results of this investment! Two of the five participating nonprofits fully leveraged the tools and strategies, collectively raising an impressive $787,000 and nearly doubling their donor base—growing from 175 to 343 donors! But this initiative is about more than just funding—it’s about strengthening Black-led organizations and equipping nonprofits with the resources, coaching, and technology they need to elevate their fundraising efforts and expand their impact! Jumpstart goes beyond grantmaking to break down barriers and ensure organizations have the tailored support they need to thrive long-term. Let’s keep the momentum going! #HealthFoundationofSouthFlorida #HealthEquity #BeyondGrantmaking #JumpstartImpact #FundraisingSuccess #NonprofitGrowth
