Our Health Carousel International team held their Healthy Minds & Bright Futures back-to-school drive for St. Vincent de Paul and delivered all donated items last week! HCI was encouraged to donate school supplies, children's shoes, cleaning products, and more. At the drop off, Chloe Hassett, Grace Schwartz and Clara Kassner all got a tour of the main SVDP hub and heard all about the wonderful things this organization is doing for our community. James, the Senior Development Manager, and Erin, the Outreach Center Program Director, explained how SVDP works and their mission: “to build a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need." This resonated with our team as their mission is similar and heavily focused on building strong and personal relationships with our candidates to make healthcare work better. Keep an eye out for more drives to support this wonderful organization!

"Sony arrived here in the US back in June of 2022 and started at her first facility in July of 2022. Things unfortunately didn’t work out at that facility and both party’s went their separate ways in the end of 2022. There were many struggles with this as Sony had built a community there and enjoyed the environment she worked in. But Sony was understanding in the decision and worked tirelessly to transfer to a area and a new facility. We landed on her current facility in Ashland Kentucky, where she started up again in March of 2023. Since day one, Sony put in 110% at her current facility, which was reflected with an outstanding first performance review from the facility. Her check in calls with me also highlighted the real family environment the facility and her unit exuded, which made her ability to care for her patient population that much easier. This past July, we were informed that Kings Daughters was going to be awarding Sony with a Daisy award and they invited Health Carousel down to celebrate Sony’s accomplishment. I had the honor to meet Sony for the first time and celebrate I her Daisy, she has said how much this meant to receive such an award and how it is a driving force behind her passion for nursing. It shows Sony’s unbelievable perseverance and strong will to not only move to a new facility but to excel. ?This past weekend, our Columbus crew took a swing at some well-deserved R&R on the golf course! From perfecting their putts to driving for show, the team hit the greens and had a ball. It was a day full of birdies, bogeys, and plenty of laughs—proving once again that teamwork makes the dream work, even on the fairway. Cheers to the Columbus team for showing us that a little friendly competition and a lot of fresh air can really "par-tee" up the weekend!

??This week, our HR team took a deep dive into personal and professional growth with a transformative Enneagram session led by Certified Life Design Coach Annaliese Seaborn. The learning experience was eye-opening, offering new perspectives on self-awareness and communication. Afterward, the team enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon Happy Hour at Oakley Greens, where the fun was in *full swing*. Cheers to continuous growth and building even stronger connections within our team! ?
