We are starting to highlight some of the awesome groups we partner and work with through CCHE! This week, we will be highlighting Health Career Connection and their important work nationwide. Here's a little bit more about HCC: ? We are a non-profit led by workforce development experts leading national health workforce initiatives to bridge the gap between talent and industry demand and nurture a new generation of values-driven health leaders and professionals reflective of the communities they serve. ? For over 34 years, HCC has partnered with organizations to meet their workforce excellence goals while providing career-launching opportunities as well as career advancement support for local, first-generation or under resourced college students. ? One of the core values we instill in our emerging leaders is the concept of becoming an authentic leader who is inspired to give back to their communities and to others in the health profession. ? If you are a health leader interested in hosting and sponsoring interns, associations and non-profit leaders with shared mission and values, and undergrad students pursuing non-clinical health careers, please reach out to us at [email protected]. Thanks for all you do, Health Career Connection!

Wonderful work, Kamryn! Find out what she is up to on HCC Connect. Here are her words of wisdom: "Approach each task during your internship with an open mind and an eagerness to learn. Remember, every challenge is an opportunity for personal and professional growth. As you navigate your internship and explore new job prospects, focus on cultivating meaningful connections within your organization. These relationships could be the key to unlocking exciting opportunities in the future. Don't be afraid to take initiative and step outside your comfort zone. But amidst your professional endeavors, never forget to prioritize self-care. Balancing work and life is crucial for long-term success and well-being. When considering graduate school options, choose programs that align with your career aspirations. Look beyond the institution's prestige and delve into the faculty expertise, available resources, and support systems. Additionally, seek out programs that offer hands-on experiences or research opportunities to enrich your learning journey. Lastly, remain adaptable and open to unexpected opportunities. Your interests and goals may evolve over time, and embracing change can lead to exciting new paths."
