I had an absolute blast moderating with Shan, Nagarjun, and the audience, on navigating entrepreneurship for engineers, science and technology students.? We announced surprise internships for engineering students from Goa with Shan, Nagarjun and Abhishek towards the end of the program, (use the attached QR to apply if you are keen)? Thanks to BITS BioCyTiH Foundation for being our knowledge partner and supporting us additionally with the venue at the beautiful campus, and Goa Startup Mission for promoting through the local ecosystem.? CC : Prof ANIL WALI, Dr. Murthy, Prof. Saroj, D S Prashant, Sona Thanks to the Headstart teams, Balachandran & Abhishek for pulling it through along with some "Yummy" Hot finger food. Apoorve, Ritik. Etc. ? Now that promotions are done with. There were real takeaways, learnings and a lot of fun.? Entrepreneurship is about Mindset > Skills. (Skills could be developed quicker and easier or you could just hire) , Mindset shift is what defines your ability to be successful which could relate to multiple attributes including risk taking ability, quick decisions, turning set backs into learnings and advantages etc.?(Frankly, I don't remember all the points but the press will publish it soon :).? - It was fun because there was a lot more that happened, The panelist, who were highly curated for the audience, had worked with each other surprisingly and one led the other to path of entrepreneurship. Both are now serial builders, innovators and successful entrepreneurs.? - It was fun because, we had many other surprises, including the esteemed panelist and students taking the stage to present their startups and ideas, and I now want to include this to every Startup Saturday In Goa hence.? - It was fun because we had a "Un-TYPICAL" discussion format and panel. 2 people panel meant going deeper into topics that both could resonate with and have a stronger sense of camaraderie on and off stage . It allowed me to experiment with a "Rapid Fire" question round with some brilliant one word answers.? - It was fun because the audience could relate better with the experiences and interact with the panelists rather than a theoretical monologue.? Learning time :? Q - what is a successful entrepreneur ? ;? A :?One who can create favorable circumstances of doing and achieving whatever you set out to do :) (i am paraphrasing here) , but this largely makes sense.? 1. Most folks wont start up , because they couldn't get off their chairs ( of comfort or inability to hustle through).? 2. If you have made some disposable money, being an entrepreneur, you would be inclined to solve the next problem that you have empathized with and invest in it, as you know the returns are exponentially high, both experientially and monetarily ( Disclaimer : Most times ;)? P.S: I am actively taking notes and not looking at my phone. I am posting this because it was fun and I want some of you to feel the FOMO. Gautham :) , Vaniya, Madhavi, Vageesh etc.
