Ever felt like you're just "faking it," even when you’re fully capable? You’re definitely not alone! Imposter syndrome sneaks up on some of the most skilled, experienced people, convincing us we’re unqualified or don’t quite belong. It’s that little voice that says, “What if they find out I’m not good enough?” But here’s the truth: you are enough—and you can learn to manage these doubts. Here are three ways to handle imposter syndrome so it doesn’t hold you back: Reframe Your Inner Critic When your mind says, “I’m not good enough,” try reframing it to, “I’m still learning, and that’s okay.” Say you stumble in a meeting and feel embarrassed. Instead of focusing on that slip, remind yourself of the valuable points you contributed. Self-doubt tends to exaggerate mistakes—don’t let it win! Celebrate Every Win, Big or Small Acknowledging achievements, even tiny ones, helps balance out the critical voice that says, “It’s not enough.” Over time, this habit can help boost confidence. Landed a successful client call or made headway on a big project? Write it down. Return to these wins when doubt creeps in—they’re proof of your growth. Share with a Trusted Mentor or Peer Talking through your self-doubts with someone who understands can be incredibly grounding. A supportive friend, mentor, or colleague can help you see your strengths from an outside perspective. Next time you feel uncertain, reach out to a trusted colleague. They’ll often remind you of your accomplishments and the skills you may be overlooking. Imposter syndrome is common, but it doesn’t define you.
