The Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship is open to dependents of HCA Healthcare colleagues who are pursuing post-secondary education. Centerpoint Medical Center Chief Medical Officer Dr. Darryl Nelson, and his daughter, Emily Nelson, a practice manager with HCA Midwest Health, accepted the call to assist Hurricane Helene relief efforts in North Carolina. Dr. Nelson partnered with Operation Airdrop to donate his time and private airplane to help shuttle supplies from Charlotte to rural communities to help the many individuals impacted by the hurricane. As of Wednesday, the two have shuttled more than 1,200 pounds of supplies and will continue moving supplies throughout today before returning home Friday. Thank you to Dr. Nelson and Emily for your volunteerism and dedication to helping others. #CareLikeFamily
