We Show Up! This weekend colleagues of HCA Florida West Hospital were honored to support and attend the 32nd Annual Soul Bowl youth football games between the SYSA Tigers and the A & G East Pensacola Rattlers. Watching the dedication and commitment of each player, cheerleader, football coach, cheer coach and volunteer is truly inspiring. Additionally, we Showed Up for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s where we were able to help bring the Inflatable Brain to town and show people up close the impacts of Alzheimer's Disease. We are also super proud of our very own Victoria Stanfield who kicked off the walk celebration with an incredible version of our National Anthem. In celebration of our Rehabilitation Center's 50th Anniversary, we would like to share Michael's journey and experience with the exsoskeleton. Exoskeletons are battery-powered, robotic suits that are strapped over the user’s clothing, enabling individuals to stand and are emerging as an exciting next step in maximizing the recovery of persons with spinal cord injuries and other neurologic conditions that limit mobility. The exsoskeleton is one of the awesome rehabilitation therapies that will be on display today at our Rehabilitation Center's 50th Anniversary Community Open House.
