#DYK? Gynecologic cancer is any cancer that starts in a woman’s reproductive system. Each gynecologic cancer is unique, with different signs and symptoms, risk factors and prevention strategies. The five main types are cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar cancer. It’s Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re sharing common symptoms. If you notice or are concerned about any of these, seek medical attention right away. During your annual well-woman visit, your doctor can check for gynecologic cancer with HPV testing and Pap testing.
