Three babies born at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital are thankful to be on time for Thanksgiving dinner today. Mom Yoselin is now the proud mom of a baby girl who came into the world on Thanksgiving Day at 3:20am, weighing 8 pounds 8.5 oz, 20.25” long. Yoselin is still thinking of the perfect name for her little princess (baby with a purple background). Mom Jessica also welcomed her baby girl born today on Thanksgiving at 6:10am, weighing in at an impressive 11 pounds 3 oz., and 20 inches long. Her name is Vantoria, after taking a little of her Daddy’s name Vantonn. Looks like she’s already a daddy’s girl! (baby with blue pacifier in mouth on flowery background). Mom Elizabeth gave birth to a baby girl born just before midnight yesterday weighing in at 6 pounds 4 oz. This baby girl's name is Daisy Lee and she looks pretty active with her legs crossed in both photos - looking like she’s ready to play soccer! (her legs are crossed with her right arm out in one photo and her right leg crossed over her left leg). All moms and babies are healthy and grateful this Thanksgiving Day for their precious special beginnings. Happy Thanksgiving! HCA Florida Healthcare HCA Healthcare #thanksgivingbaby

The average body temperature is 98.6°F, but it can vary from person to person and fluctuate throughout the day. A fever is generally considered to be 100°F or higher, indicating that your body is fighting off an illness. While most fevers aren’t dangerous, they can be concerning, especially for babies and young children. If you or a loved one has a fever, be aware of specific signs that may require a trip to the emergency room: https://bit.ly/4fW76A2 #ImproveMoreLives #FeverAwareness

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC also reports that most people with lung cancer don’t have symptoms until later stages of the disease. But there’s good news: Regular screenings can find lung cancer early, when it’s most treatable. Jhon Correa knows what it means to #CareLikeFamily. He used to work at our HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in IT and has since moved on to a larger IT role within HCA Florida Healthcare - no longer based at our hospital. However, Jhon was recently seen roaming our hallways… “We are always excited to welcome special beginnings in Women’s Services and are especially thrilled that Jhon trusted us to care for his family during this special event in their lives,” said Stacy Carter, Director of Women’s Services at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital. “It has been our pleasure to care for mom Celia, their 15-year-old son Payton, their newest edition, Santiago, and of course Jhon.” Congratulations to the Correa family on baby Santiago who was born a few days ago weighing in at 5 pounds and 3 oz, and 18 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well. We couldn’t be happier for our ever-growing HCA Florida family!
