On this #FeelGoodFriday, we would like to recognize recent DAISY Award winner, Yusleidi from nursing unit 4 North/4 Central. This award was created to honor and recognize nurses for the outstanding effort they make to provide extraordinary care to their patients. Last week we launched our Kaumatua Nurse Mentorship Program with a heartfelt "Big K" breakfast. The word “Kaumatua,” originated in the Maori tribe and translates to “tribal leader.” This unique program is designed to honor and leverage the wealth of experience our senior nurses (“Big K’s”) bring to our hospital.
