Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is now HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. We are a 267-bed, top-performing acute care hospital with over 300 of the most highly respected and qualified physicians in the Tri-County area. We offer an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, a Breast Center, a Women’s and Children’s Center with a Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and advanced care for critically ill patients. Our services include open-heart surgery, behavioral health and a wide range of specialties as well as emergency services at our main emergency room (ER), pediatric ER and two freestanding ERs. ?? Honoring Our Veteran Employees: Kayley Navedo ?? Today we shine a spotlight on Kayley Navedo, a proud Navy veteran with eight years of service. Faced with uncertainty about her college path, Kayley took a leap of faith when her stepdad, a retired Senior Chief in the Navy, encouraged her to explore the opportunity of joining the military. Kayley enlisted straight out of high school, heading to Great Lakes, IL, where her journey in the Navy began. As an Aviation Structural Engineer, she specialized in maintenance for the F/A-18 aircraft, ensuring our fleet was ready for action. Her service has taken her around the world, with memorable experiences in diverse locations including Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Australia, Hawaii, and Guam. Among these incredible places, Abu Dhabi holds a special spot in her heart! We celebrate Kayley for her adventurous spirit, dedication, and contributions to our nation.
