Colleague Spotlight – Angelia Darsey, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager, HCA Florida Capital Hospital Cancer Center Since 2009, Angelia Darsey, RN has been a dedicated colleague at the HCA Florida Capital Hospital Cancer Center. The cancer center is focused on radiation oncology services. She says, “I knew in high school that I wanted to go into healthcare in some capacity. I chose nursing because it would give me the opportunity to spend time with the patients I work with. A career in nursing offers such flexibility and I've never regretted going into the field. I love the patients I get to care for and the colleagues I work with. We, as a team, make a difference in people's lives at what it is often a very frightening time. Working with such great people and knowing that what we do matters - makes it all worthwhile.” To learn more about our oncology services visit: https://bit.ly/3B3VCM3 #CareLikeFamily

The average body temperature is 98.6°F, but it can vary from person to person and fluctuate throughout the day. A fever is generally considered to be 100°F or higher, indicating that your body is fighting off an illness. While most fevers aren’t dangerous, they can be concerning, especially for babies and young children. If you or a loved one has a fever, be aware of specific signs that may require a trip to the emergency room: https://bit.ly/3Z7jlD9 #ImproveMoreLives #FeverAwareness

We are excited to continue to tell the incredible story of our colleagues who showed-up in the height of Helene's aftermath! Michelle Noonan is one one of the dozens of HCA Healthcare nurses and medical staff who came to help after Hurricane Helene. ?? Coming from HCA Florida Healthcare, Michelle joined colleagues from across the country who joined forces with our incredible Mission Health colleagues locally in caring for our community when it needed us most! Thank you to everyone who stepped-up for our patients and for our colleagues who continue to care like family every day. Check out Michelle's story now! #HurricaneHelene #CareLikeFamily #WeShowUp

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC also reports that most people with lung cancer don’t have symptoms until later stages of the disease. But there’s good news: Regular screenings can find lung cancer early, when it’s most treatable.
