HBG Design is seeking passionate and creative summer interns to join our teams in Memphis, San Diego, and Dallas. This is your opportunity to work alongside industry-leading architects and interior designers while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality and entertainment design. Real Projects. Real Learning. Real Impact. At HBG Design, our interns do more than just observe—they design. Each summer, our interns work on a real-world design scenario for one of our hospitality clients, applying their creativity and technical skills to a project that mirrors professional practice. This Spring, our Memphis interns, Noelle and Ethan are tackling an exciting challenge: reimagining CIMAS, the first-floor restaurant at the Hyatt Centric Memphis. Their journey began with a behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel, led by Lead Interior Designer Joseph La Valle, where they explored the lobby, guest rooms, rooftop bar, and event spaces to understand how design impacts guest experiences. They even met with the Hyatt Centric Event Managers to gain insights into the operational aspects of hospitality design. Armed with this knowledge, Noelle and Ethan will develop fresh concepts for CIMAS, weaving Memphis’ rich history and culture into their designs.
