We're excited to announce that Universal Digital Payments Network, the most advanced interoperable global payments network for regulated digital currencies, has integrated the Hedera network to ease the development of programmable payment applications leveraging #stablecoins and #CBDCs. The Universal Digital Payments Network (UDPN) is a messaging backbone focused on interoperability between the fast-growing number of regulated stablecoins and CBDCs to enable seamless connectivity between any business IT system and regulated digital currencies. As part of this PoC, two additional Transaction Nodes were integrated into the UDPN: one supporting stablecoins issued with the Stablecoin Studio on Hedera, connecting directly to the network via Hedera #SDK, and the other supporting EMTECH CBDCs via their Digital Cash platform. Testing the UDPN core services, including creating a decentralized identity (DID), mapping this #DID to a Hedera account, and initiating transfers and cross-chain swaps, #Hedera was found to have unmatched scalability for programmable payments ?? https://lnkd.in/eWqGafGC The successful execution of this PoC laid the ground for The HBAR Foundation to explore further collaboration opportunities with the UDPN, such as supporting Hedera digital currencies when the network launches and leveraging Hedera technologies to validate UDPN transactions. We're excited to announce that we have joined the ERC3643 Association. Here we will work with the Association and its members to help scale the adoption of ERC-3643 – a leading industry standard for compliant real-world asset (#RWA) tokenization. The ERC-3643 token standard is an open-source suite of smart contracts that enables the issuance, management, and transfer of permissioned tokens. Also known as the Token for Regulated Exchanges (T-REX) standard, ERC-3643’s attention to compliance has led to it becoming the go-to framework for institutions, with high-profile companies such as Citi and ABN AMRO tokenizing assets such as green bonds and private equity. Other institutions such as The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) have also recently joined the Association to help contribute to its goals of promoting and advancing the ERC-3643 token standard. By joining the Association and supporting the T-REX standard, we will support the growth and development of this standard through our deep experience in working with financial institutions on the Hedera Council. Alongside this, The HBAR Foundation will explore joint collaboration opportunities across the Association and beyond to drive further institutional growth via #ERC3643 on the #Hedera network. Often in the thick of it each step seems slow, but as progress comes you start to see the drum beat as it happens. A quick recap of the last couple weeks and the week ahead: - Social Carbon announced first-of-its-kind module for real-time monitoring of GHG fluxes using Eddy Covariance technology based on The HBAR Foundation grantee HYPHEN GLOBAL AG's work in the space. Hyphen also announced their work with First 30x30 as well. - DOVU issued carbon credits using CarbonSpaceTech MRV, with Ketrawe Agroforestry - Xeptagon announced the integration of the Hedera Guardian to the DPG National Carbon Registry initially create by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at the East Africa Carbon Markets Forum - Demia joined the Greentown Labs incubator a big step forward in enabling trust at scale, now in a world renowned program with institutional access. During the past week, I attended the Eastern Africa Carbon Market Dialogue in Nairobi, representing Xeptagon with The HBAR Foundation, which was the platinum sponsor of the event. Special thanks to The #HBAR Foundation for supporting us in this collaboration. During the event, the integration of the DPG National Carbon Registry with the Hedera Guardian as an option was announced. The DPG National Carbon Registry is a project initiated by the UNDP. This integration enables any country, government, or organization using the registry to?digitize and tokenize their carbon markets, enhancing transparency, security, and efficiency in carbon credit management. The UNDP's DPG? National Carbon Registry is designed to help countries manage data and processes related to trading carbon credits. National registries are essential for tracking carbon projects, verifying data, and preventing #greenwashing. By integrating the DPG NCR with the #Hedera Guardian, the largest digitalized and open-source methodology library in the world, the NCR now has the option to enable: ? Digitization of Carbon Markets at Both National and International Levels ? Deeper Data Integrity & Auditing ? Better Decision-Making Processes ? Automation of Compliance Reporting The NCR is already being piloted in a variety of countries.
