Hazelwood Initiative is thrilled and honored to have been selected to receive a major grant of $2 million from the Yield Giving Open Call!! The #YieldGivingOpenCall – managed by Lever for Change – focused on elevating organizations working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States – and our organization does just that through our work advancing the mission of building a stronger Hazelwood through inclusive community development. Having recently completed and received community support for our first organizational strategic plan, we can ensure that our work will continue to prioritize the community’s goals: preservation and development of affordable housing, revitalization of the Second Avenue business district, and creation of an environmentally healthy and resilient community. These funds will help us strengthen our ability to achieve the vision of Greater Hazelwood: development without displacement. Let's do this!
